IT’s a total scam. Her blog also put it in a town close to mine. Way to close to home to be true. Wish we could stop these people. I would like to see her A** in jail.!

I was able to get my money back from the grant people immediately, but had to cancel my credit card to stop the Google Money Tree people from charging to it. By the way, they have NOTHING to do with Google and I contacted Googles Security department to make them aware their name was being used for this scam. They are currently investigating. What a rotten thing to do to people who have lost their jobs and trying to make ends meet. I read on another blog that if you call to get your money back, remind them that they have ‘Money Back Guaranty.’ Good luck to all!

I live in Marshall Mo where Kelly is suoppose to live. My wife and I have been working in the Marshall public school system for 18 years.Marshall is a community of 13,000 people.I or my wife have never seen her or any of her family.This is a complete lie.
I know that she probably lives in yor town too. I was almost fooled.Please beware

Unfortunately Jell you are in for some work. Your best courses of action:

1) Cancel the credit card you used. Seriously. Kill it.
2) If you can’t do #1, call all the numbers on the site you signed up with, cancel your “subscription” with each of them.
3) Attempt to make a stink to get your original money back. Very unlikely to work unless you take drastic measures such as calling your local TV Station Investigative News Team to kick in their doors for you.
4) Change your phone number. By becoming their customer you have given them license to call you any time they want to spam you, regardless of your Do Not Call registry status.
4a) If you can’t change your phone number, the next time they call ask for their mailing address so you can send them a notice to no longer call you. If they refuse, you can go to the Do Not Call registry site and complain.

Well, the ad said that “Kelly” was from my hometown. I live in an extremely small town, so I knew that she wasn’t from here! It’s horrible that they are preying on people’s weakness because it seems that everyone has debt that they can’t pay!

Yeah Jean, they do that on purpose. When you go to a web page, your browser sends what is called an IP address, and there are services where they can look up the general location of your IP address. So the scammers have learned that you’re more likely to give your credit card info to someone you “trust” so they use tricks like saying they live nearby or they advertise themselves as a specific demographic group (“I’m a stay at home Christian Mom!) that you’d identify with.

Then they start ripping you off.
