Quick note about something that many people on Facebook are running into. There appears to be a Facebook post hack or virus or scam (not really sure what form it is taking since we have not seen it live in the wild yet) where it appears that someone posts a message to their wall that says “www,ArticleGet,cn I heard some ppl in my family talkin about this during Thanxgiving. Check it out”
Articleget.cn appears to link to a traditional Easy Google Profit scam fake news site at first glance. There certainly may be some other dastardly doings in the background once you load the site, so I would not suggest going to the site.
If you see a friend that has posted this, warn them immediately. They either have:
- Installed a rogue Facebook application that is posting bogus messages like this to their wall.
- Have a virus or malware on their computer that has given away their Facebook name and password and someone is using it for spamming scam links
Either way, clean it up stat!
If anyone has more information, please add a comment below. Is it something posted to a friends wall like it came directly from that person, or does it appear to be from an App they installed?

Hi,
I received this link from a friend. It looked as if she wrote this herself. It came from her wall, and she also wrote it on my wall. I went to watch this site because I found her note strange. I hope I didn’t bring bad stuffs in my computer. What is to do then ? Should I stop using internet with my computer until I know what it is exactly ?
I checked afterwards on her wall and there was at least 10 wall notes with the same link. I wrote to her to warn.
my facebook posted things on peoples walls
it shows up on people’s walls like this:
Is this something you can do ? www,ArticleGet,cn
Thanks for the info everyone. Does the “www,ArticleGen,cn” part appear as a link or just text? Are you able to click on it and go to the site?
No you cannot click on the link, you have to change the commas to periods manually and then search the site. What the ArticleGen does is it retrieves your login information via accessing your cookies once you are forwarded to the site. After storing your information it is forwarded to another database.
That´s right Mr D Pickering, you can´t access to this website by only a click…kinda weird isn´t?? Cause i´m one of those guys that doesnt make a click on any link…so i dont understand how this virus get in on facebook or my computer, i have KIS 9 (Kaspersky Internet Security 9) and it doesnt warn me about anything, im running rith now a full-scan, but i dont think that KIS could find something. So…how does it get in on facebook, BTW…on hi5 i dont have any notification about something like that on FB.
Its all i have of info and thoughts. Take care…i will be around here, cause i didnt find another website talking about this, maybe its coming too soon yet.
I got a lot of this on my facebook wall by people… Does anyone know how to get rid of this shit ?
