Hi, what other wayes are there to advertise on the internet without putting together a full blown web site via a web hoster?

When is your next update on the link building experiment?

Hi Electron Plumber,

Your site is really full of REAL and HONEST advice. I simply love your site! Thanks for creating so much original, unique and wonderful content, especially the great link building service!

I have 2 questions:

1. I have tried Market Samurai’s Rank Tracker. I have tried the firefox rank tracker plugin by SEOBook.com. I have tried Scroogle.org. Unfortunately, they never show the exact same result! So do you have any recommendation for rank tracker tools? Both free and paid ones are okay.

2. After the Great Link Building Experiment, I have 1 single question on my mind: why don’t we just build links with BMR? Ranking on the first page in 5 weeks is certainly a good result! Will you recommend it? If not, what other things should be done apart from just submitting posts to BMR?

Thanks. I am so glad I have found your blog. Hope there are more high quality blogs like yours on the Internet.

Hi El Plumber,

It’s me again! I hope my comment will not be ignored because it’s my second time “asking the plumber”!

In case you did not read my follow up comment last time, one of my sites now (linked above) is ranking quite good for a vitamin niche keyword. It is currently monetizing on only adsense because I am more experienced with it.

I have tried to monetize by Amazon affiliate by adding a “best vitamin list” to my site. But conversion is low. So I am writing to ask you some questions:

At the first place, should I monetize this site with Amazon affiliate?

I have read some blogs (including yours) about this cashing method but most of them recommend promoting 4-6 expensive products. Unfortunately, after checking in Amazon, I can’t find any expensive products to promote which are related to my niche. All the vitamins products are between $20-$50. I will have to convert many sales in order to make some real money. But the traffic is not high enough in my opinion. (Only 2xx unique visitors per day) So should I monetize with Amazon affiliate?

If yes, should I choose only 4-6 products to promote? Or should I list hundreds of products like the toys site you mentioned in your blog post: why your amazon affiliate size is failing miserably”?

I really have no experience regarding Amazon affiliate. If you can give me some advice and guidance for my site, I will sincerely appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Adrien

Hi Adrien, I think I answered many of these questions on how and where to monetize a site with Amazon in my Amazon Affiliate Lessons series of posts. You just reminded me that I’m long overdue for the next installment!

My sites get anywhere from 1-10 sales on Amazon per 100 unique visitors depending on the site. The sites that get 6-10 sales per 100 are usually promoting less expensive $15-20 items. The main site for my Great Link Building Experiment gets around 50 visits a day and sells around 3 items a day for an average commission of $3. The stuff I’m promoting there costs between $20 and $80.

My newer sites do far better than my older ones per visitor but are more targeted to the exact keywords, but my older sites pull more visitors so it evens out pretty well.
